Congress leader and film producer T Subbarami Reddy organised a condolence meeting on Sunday i.e 4th March for late actress Sridevi, calling her demise a shock for the nation. The first female superstar Sridevi was passed away in 24th February in Dubai where she went to attend a wedding. According to the forensic report, Mom and English Vinglish actress died of accidental drowning in her hotel room’s bathtub after suffering a dizzying spell and traces of alcohol were found in her body too.
The prominent film personalities such as Krishnam Raju, Jayasudha, Jaya Prada, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna, Amala, Ram Gopal Varma, P.Susheela, Jagapathi Babu, C Kalyan, Naresh, Kota Srinivas Rao, Allu Aravind, among many others, attend the condolence meeting.
T Subbarami Reddy said, “Her untimely demise is shocking for everybody in the nation.” Krishnam Raju said, “I did not get chance to act with in many movies. But she always called me Sir, and showed immense respect.”
Ali, Amala Akkineni, Sumanth Yarlagadda, Nivetha Thomas, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha, Jagapathi Babu, Babu Mohan, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and many others talked at the meet and expressed, loss of Sridevi for Indian Cinema as irrevocable.
The young generation stars who are ruling Telugu box-office, from Young Tiger Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu to Allu Arjun ignored the event. The younger female stars except for Niveda Thomas, also didn’t attend the event. It’s the minimum courtesy to make time to give a proper tribute to the legendary actress.
