Sukumar decides to give up his plans for Mahesh BabuMahesh Babu and Sukumar have worked together for 1 Nenokkadine, which was released in 2014 and turned out commercially flop at the box office.  Once again they have teamed up for an upcoming project which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind super hits such as Mahesh’s ‘Srimanthudu’, Jr NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ and Ram Charan’s blockbuster ‘Rangasthalam’.

 Earlier it was heard that the movie was going to be a period drama revolving around the era of the Razakars movement of Telangana.  But now according to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Sukumar has decided to give up his plans to come up with  an experimental period and he has penned a commercial film which will have romance and action. The upcoming film marks the 26th movie of Mahesh Babu, and it is now tentatively called Mahesh 26.

 The upcoming untitled film of Sukumar and Mahesh Babu will be launched in the month of May. Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music and Sukumar is planning to bring cinematographer Rathnavelu on the board. Who will play the female lead, in this film, is not yet decided.

2018 was a good year for Sukumar as well as Mahesh Babu. Sukumar delivered a hit movie in the form of Rangasthalam in which Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni played the lead role. The movie was turned out Non Baahubali hit at the box office.  On the other hand, Mahesh Babu delivered political drama Bharat Ane Nenu, directed by Koratala Siva. It was the first time when Mahesh Babu played the role of Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh.

 Currently Mahesh Babu is busy in his upcoming 25th movie Maharshi, which is being helmed by Vamsi Paidipally, in which Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead whereas Allari Naresh is essaying Mahesh Babu’s friend.
