Sumanth has officially confirmed that news that he is going to become the part of upcoming much prestigious project- NTR biopic, which is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of National award winning director Krish and will be seen playing the role of ANR. Today Sumanth took to his twitter and wrote, “Excited and honored to be joining this team, portraying my grandfather #ANR in this prestigious venture #NTR.”
From past few weeks, there was speculation that Sumanth has been roped in NTR biopic and he will essay the role of his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) and finally today Sumanth has confirmed this news. Sumanth is from the Akkineni Family. He is the grandson of late Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and nephew of Nagarjuna Akkineni. It is expected that he will join the sets from upcoming schedule.
Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father, legendary actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Yesterday Baahubali star Rana Daggubati confirmed the news that he is going to join the sets of NTR biopic and he will be seen in the role of NTR’s son-in-law and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Rana Daggubati wrote on his twitter, “Coming together to tell you a story of an incredible human phenomenon called “N.T.RamaRao”
Vidya Balan will be seen essaying the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam. Recently the actress said that through NTR biopic, people will know more about Basavatarakam’s personality. Vidya Balan also visited at the residence of Balakrishna. She was offered a sari, bangles and flowers by Balakrishna’s wife Vasundhara Devi. NTR biopic is being helmed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, popularly known as Krish, and jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati.
Meanwhile Sumanth is busy in his upcoming movies- Subrahmanyapuram and Idam Jagath, which are in different production stages.
