Tamannah Bhatia to receive award for Baahubali

Tamannah Bhatia to receive award for BaahubaliMilky beauty, Tamannah Bhatia who  won iconic Sridevi Award at Zee Apsara Awards  recently, has now won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for her outstanding performance in the blockbuster “Baahubali: The Beginning”. The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s highest cinematic honour.

On the other side, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will also receive  the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for her successful movies as a producer. The award will be given by an organisation called Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation, a Mumbai-based organisation, which is different from the Government of India instituted Dadasaheb Phalke Award, awarded during National Awards ceremony held annually in New Delhi. Anushka’s first three productions: NH 10, Phillauri and Pari showed their maturity in dabbling with three different genres – thriller, romance and horror.

Ranveer Singh has also been finalised for The Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 for the memorable role for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.

 Tamannah said, “I’ve grown up knowing what immense involvement Dadasaheb Phalke had enjoyed in Indian cinema. It’s such an honour to be conferred an award from the foundation.”

On the workside, Tamaanaah is currently busy in upcoming movie ‘Naa Nuvve’ in which Nandamuri Kalyanram is playing the lead role. She will also be seen in Telugu remake of Bollywood film ‘Queen’.
