Taxiwaala 1st Day AP/TS CollectionsTaxiwaala Collections: Taxiwaala, the supernatural thriller drama starring Vijay Devarakonda, Priyanka Jwalkar and Malavika Nair, was arrived at the theaters yesterday on 17th November 2018, in a very grand manner and received a mixed response by the movie lovers. According to the traders report, Taxiwaala has received decent opening at the worldwide box office on the first day and has crushed the collection records of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Amar Akbar Anthony. Taxiwaala has collected Rs 3.25 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its opening day but became fail to crush the collection records of Vijay Devarakonda’s previous offerings- NOTA and Geetha Govindam which had earned Rs 4.55 and Rs 5.18 Cr shares respectively.

 Ceeded : Rs 55 Lakhs

Vizag : Rs 37 Lakhs

East : Rs 34 Cr

West : Rs 23 Cr

Krishna : Rs 24 Cr

Guntur : Rs 26 Lakhs

Nellore : Rs 11 Lakhs

 1st Day total AP/TS shares of Taxiwaala : Rs 3.25 Cr

Taxiwaala is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and is produced by  Bunny Vas, V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati  under the banner of Geetha Arts and UV Creations whereas the film has the music by Jakes Bejoy.

Vijay Devarakonda’s previous releases have also made very good collections at the US box office. Especially romantic and comedy entertainer Geetha Govindam has done wonders in the country. However, his last outing the political bilingual drama Nota failed to live up to the expectation.

Vijay Devarakonda and the production houses- GA2 Pictures and UV Creations did a lot of publicity for Taxiwaala and its promos also garnered enough attention for the film. The distributors booked around 120 screens for its screening in a bid to cash in the popularity of young actor Vijay Devarakonda in US.
