NTR poster : NTR – the highly anticipated biopic on the life of legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, was officially launched on 29th March in Hyderabad by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Nandamuri Balakrishna is reprising the role of his father and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). National award winning director Krish is helming this much prestigious biopic- NTR. The regular shoot of the movie has been started from yesterday in Saradhi studios. Krish started the shoot of NTR biopic with the shoot of ‘Manadesam’. On this occasion, the team released the first look poster of NTR in which Balakrishna was seen in NTR getup. But as the actor was looking slim, netizens were confused and they started to say that the makers have used a lot of photoshop for the posters. Finally Krish released coloured Poster of Balakrishna on his twitter and captioned it, “First day, First shot #NTR.”
NTR made his debut with Manadesam, which was directed by L. V. Prasad and it was released in 1949. In Manadesam, NTR played the role of British Inspector. Jisshu Sengupta, the Bengali actor, is playing the role of late filmmaker and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee L. V. Prasad. In this first look poster of NTR, Balakrishna truly resembles his legendary father Nandamuri Taraka Ram Rao (NTR).
It’s worth mentioning that Krish and Balakrishna had previously worked on Telugu period drama Gautamiputra Satakarni, which was released on the occasion of Sankranthi last year and was hit at the box office.
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be seen essaying the role of NTR’s wife Basavatharakam and Sumanth Akkineni will essay ANR. Keerthy Suresh is also on the board to play Savitri Mahanati again in NTR. Rana Daggubati will portray Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
NTR is jointly bankrolled by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri whereas it will have the music by MM Keeravani.
