Mohanlal who has worked with Young Tiger Jr NTR in Janatha Garage, has opened up about Tarak in his recent interview. Malayalam Superstar is currently busy in the promotional activities of his movie Odiyan, which has hit the theaters on last Friday. As a part of promotional activities, the actor attended an interview and talked about ANR and Jr NTR, he said, “I liked the acting with Telugu stars in Tollywood. I did Janatha Garage few years ago and liked the way Jr NTR showed so much dedication, in each scene.“
Janatha Garage, the action drama, written and directed by Koratala Siva, produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and C. V. Mohan under their banner Mythri Movie Makers, was released in 2016. Apart from Mohanlal and Jr NTR, the film also featured Samantha Akkineni, Nithya Menen, Devayani, Saikumar, and Suresh in supporting roles.
Mohanlal also talked about Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), in which he played the cameo and made his screen presence as a Boatman in the song “Goruvanka Vaalagane”. Mohanlal said, “I treasure the days, I spent with him. He made me so comfortable that I forgot that I am acting with a legend.”
Gandeevam was an action and romantic Telugu movie, which was directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Satyam Babu and Sampath Kumar under the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Combines banner. Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Roja played the lead roles. The movie was released in 1994.
Mohanlal’s Odiyan was released on 14th December 2018, and received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics. On the other side, Odiyan is the latest victim of piracy. The movie has been leaked on torrent sites. Odiyan with different qualities has made it to torrent sites through the backdoors which are expected to take a toll on its collection at the box office.
