One of the most controversial contestants across all seasons of the reality show 'Bigg Boss', Swami Sadachari alias Swami Om was on Wednesday arrested from Bhajanpura, in a case filed by his brother.
The self-proclaimed godman was hiding in a house in northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura and was arrested by a joint team of Lodhi Colony police station and Inter-State Cell of Crime Branch. According to the police, Swami Om was declared ‘proclaimed offender’ by a local court.
November 2008, an FIR was registered against Swami Omji on a complaint by his younger brother Pramodh Jha. He accused him of breaking the lock of his bicycle shop in Lodhi Colony along with three men and stealing 11 bicycles, expensive spare parts, sale deed of the house and important documents. Swami Om also faces charges under the Arms Act, Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act in other matters and almost a dozen of cases have been registered against him.
Swami Om rose to fame after his stint on Salman Khan’s Hindi 'Bigg Boss' where he was asked to leave the show midway owing to his bad behaviour and abusive nature.
