The 64th Filmfare South Awards was held on Saturday, 17th June, at Novotel and HICC Complex, Hyderabad. The star studded event was kick-started at 6 pm and number of celebrities from all the four South Indian film Industries- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada graced the event.The 64th Filmfare South Awards was hosted by Allu Sirish, Ragini Dwivedi and Vijay Devarakonda.
Young Tiger Jr NTR won best actor award for his emotional performance in Nannaku Prematho and the music director Devi Sri Prasad won the award in the category of best music album for the same film. Samantha Ruth Prabhu bagged award in the category of best actress for Trivikram Srinivas’s magnum opus A..Aa.
The evening was packed with electrifying performances by Rakul Preet Singh, Samyukta Hegde, Nikki Galrani and many other celebrities.
On the other-side, currently NTR is busy in his ongoing film ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ under the direction of Bobby whereas Samantha has multiple films in her bags like Vijay 61, Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Rangasthalam 1985, Irumbu Thirai, Aneethi Kathaigal, Mahanati and Untitled Sivakarthikeyan - Ponram film, which are in different production stages.
