Sai Pallavi, who has been a sensation in Kerala since the release of Alphonse Putharen’s Premam in 2015, admits she is still amused by all the attention. She says, “I love it that people loved my acting, but I don’t really know what I did.” She was next seen in  Telugu film Fidaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula in which she played Bhanumati and shared the screen space with Varun Tej.   She is also making her Tamil debut with Sameer Thahir’s Kali (Kanam in Telugu), in which she will play Anjali, a perfect antidote to her husband Siddharth’s (Dulquer Salmaan) mercurial temperament.

Currently she is also romancing with Natural Star Nani in upcoming Dil Raju production venture ‘MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) in the direction of Venu Sree Raam. Recently, the actress  had a chitchat with media in a film promotion. In this scenario, a media person referred her as Malayali. With that Sai Pallavi got angry and gave the clarification that she is not a Malayali but a pure Tamilian. Sai Pallavi has reportedly made it clear that she was born and brought up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She requested media to address her as a Tamil and not a Malayali girl.  Everyone is thinking that she is a Malayali because of ‘Premam’ movie but she is a pakka Tamil girl. Malar has become so popular that it probably made everyone think Sai Pallavi is a Malayali. She requested the media to not to refer her as Malayalam girl.
