Fidaa has provided the much needed box-office success for director Shekhar Kammula and actor Varun Tej. Undoubtedly, the lion's share of the credit for the success of the film goes to the Sai Pallavi who made it a one-man show or a one-woman show rather. Fidaa, a love story set against the backdrop of Telangana, has grossed Rs 60 Cr worldwide in two weeks, making it the biggest grosser in filmmaker Sekhar Kammula’s career. According to the traders report, Dil Raju’s production venture  Fidaa has  earned the shares of Rs 34.8 Cr and gross  Rs 60 Cr.

Following the debacles of 'Life is Beautiful' and 'Anamika', the Telugu remake of 'Kahaani', Sekhar Kammula has bounced back strongly with 'Fidaa'. The film marks the Telugu debut of  Premam fame Sai Pallavi, and she has won over audiences with her  wonderful performance.
