Young Tiger Jr.NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa’s pre release business figures are out now. Telugu theatrical rights alone have been sold for a whopping Rs. 86 Cr which is the highest for the a Telugu film in both Telugu states -Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, It has also beaten the Telugu theatrical business of Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss’s SPYder (Rs. 69.60 crore), which it’ll be clashing with at the box-office.
The theatrical business of Jai Lava Kusa is bigger than the full run share of NTR’s highest grosser “Janatha Garage” (Rs 81.3 Cr). The stakes riding on Jai Lava Kusa are so high that it now needs a minimum of Rs. 172 Cr nett to break even at the box-office, and will only qualify as a clean hit if it touches Rs. 215 Cr nett.
Pre-Release Business of Jai Lava Kusa is Rs 112 Cr whereas the movie is made on the budget of approx Rs 50 Cr excluding NTR's Remuneration. Trade and industry analysts are sure that Jai Lava Kusa will prove to be the big success that it is expected to be. Jai Lava Kusa will compete with Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss’s Spyder, Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu which are arriving on 27th and 29th September respectively.
