Mental Madhilo Box Office Collections: Sree Vishnu film beats Nara Rohit’s Balakrishnudu

Sree Vishnu, Amrutha Srinivasan and Nivetha Pethuraj starrer Mental Madhilo, written and directed by Vivek Athreya, has topped the weekend collection chart for Indian movies at the USA box office and it has  crushed the collection record of Nara Rohit and Regina Cassandra’s  Balakrishnudu. Mental Madhilo was released in over 70 screens across North America and was expected to get a bigger opening than the others at the US box office.

Raj Kandukuri’s production venture  has collected $134,036 (Rs 86.43 lakh) at the US box office in the first weekend. It is yet another small-budget Telugu film that has become a big money-spinner in the US after Vijay Devarakonda’s Arjun Reddy and  Dr. Rajasekhar’s PSV Garuda Vega. A strong word of mouth helped Mental Madhilo on strength to strength over the weekend.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection figure of Mental Madhilo, "Telugu film #MentalMadhilo debuts at No 26 at USA BO... Thu previews $ 25,277 Fri $ 32,853 Sat $ 48,207 Sun $ 27,699 Total: $ 134,036 [? 86.43 lakhs] @Rentrak [sic]"

Balakrishnudu collected $23,836 from 42 screens at the US box office in the first weekend. It landed in the third place in the US business chart for Indian films this weekend. Another small film Napoleon was a total washout as it grossed just three thousand dollars.
