Vidya Balan joins NTR Biopic

 Vidya Balan joins NTR Biopic : Vidya Balan has signed the biopic of NTR in which Nandamuri Balakrishna will play the lead role in the direction of Krish. She will join the sets in mid July.

Now it  has been confirmed that Bengali beauty Vidya Balan is going to reprise the role of Basavatharakam, NTR’s wife, in NTR – the biopic of legendary actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is essaying the role of his father Sr NTR in this film, which will be helmed by  National award winning director Krish. Earlier Krish and Balakrishna have worked together for Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which was decent hit at the box office. Initially Nene Raju Nene Mantri fame Teja was on the board to helm NTR but he walked away from NTR  biopic.

The sources say that Vidya Balan is expected to join the sets of NTR biopic in mid July.  Begam Jaan fame Vidya Balan has been approached for several south Indian film makers in past but the bold and beautiful actress turned down the offers. Vidya Balan has also rejected a movie starring Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth. It seems the actress was waiting for performance oriented role and finally Balakrishna and Krish are providing this opportunity to Vidya Balan and she is making her comeback in South Indian  Film Industry with NTR.

The sources close to the film unit says that Vidya Balan is inspired by how Basavatharakam led her life, as a woman. She was a pillar of support to NTR. Basavatharakam was one who supported NTR when he was busy juggling films and politics. Vidya Balan is very excited to become the part of NTR.

 The biopic of NTR is jointly produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri. Vidya Balan is not new to biopics, as she had also worked on Silk Smita’s biopic titled Dirty Picture in Hindi, which is created lot of buzz in Bollywood.

 Vidya Balan was last seen in Bollywood movie Tumhari Sulu in the direction of Suresh Triveni.
