Vidya Balan shocking remuneration for NTRVidya Balan is essaying the role of Telugu actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) wife Basavataram in NTR biopic, which is being helmed by National award winning director Krish. According to the latest update, Vidya Balan is being paid Rs 1.5 Cr as remuneration by the producers of NTR biopic for this crucial and brief role.  There is no doubt that Vidya Balan is a talented actress and she deserves it.

As a part of her preparation, Vidya Balan perfected the art of playing the harmonium from composer Nitin Shankar.   The composer who has earlier worked with the late RD Burman, Jatin-Lalit said, “Vidya Balan’s character plays the harmonium in two songs in the film and the actress wanted to make it look convincing onscreen.”

NTR married Basavatarakam in 1943 and the couple had eight sons and four daughters. Basavatarakam died after battling cancer in 1985 and the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad was made in her memory.

Well, there are other interesting roles in this upcoming NTR biopic that have gone to the best talents such as Jisshu Sengupta and Sachin Khederkar. Jisshu Sengupta will be seen essaying the role of the late prolific filmmaker and Dadasaheb Phalke winner LV Prasad whereas Sachin Khederkar will be donning the greasepaint as the ex-chief minister of AP Nadhendla Bhaskar Rao.

It is known news that Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the titular role. Apart from Vidya Balan and Balakrishna, the movie has other stars like Keerthy Suresh, Mohan Babu and Sumanth playing Savitri, SV Ranga Rao and A Nageswara Rao respectively. The shooting of NTR biopic is currently progressing at brisk pace with plans to have it released for Sankaranthi next year. The film is being jointly bankrolled by Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri, and Sai Korrapati.

Vidya Balan was last seen in Bollywood movie Tumhari Sulu, directed by Suresh Triveni, for which she received Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Vidya Balan played the role of Sulochana “Sulu” Dubey in this film.
