Vijay Deverakonda, the latest sensation of Tollywood, is all set to make his Bollywood debut. According to the latest update, Vijay Deverakonda is going to act in upcoming movie 83 in which Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev. The Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy fame actor will be seen essaying the role of a cricketer. This news is confirmed by Ramesh Bala as he wrote on Twitter, “Actor @TheDeverakonda set to play Cricketer #KrishSrikanth in 1983 India’s World Cup winning sage “1983” Will be his #Bollywood debut.. @RanveerOfficial plays #KapilDev.”

 The film 83 is a biopic based on India’s historic victory at 1983 World Cup at Lord’s Stadium, England. Ranveer Singh and Vijay Deverakonda starrer 83 will be released on 30th August 2019. The film is directed by Kabir Khan, and Ranveer will play cricketer Kapil Dev. The sources say that Vijay Deverakonda will be seen  playing veteran cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in 83.

The 1983 World Cup has been a celebratory milestone in the history of Indian cricket. The film will be shot at real locations and will be going on floors early next year

 Few months ago, during media interaction  Ranveer Singh said, “I was born at the time when the cricket was big time. When the director Kabir Khan had come to me and said that there will be a film on 83, I was like finally. And when he was narrating it to me, I was like woooh.”

 Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Supernatural thriller drama Taxiwaala, which has turned out hit at the box office.

Currently NOTA star Vijay Deverakonda is romancing with his Geetha Govindam Costar Rashmika Mandanna in upcoming movie Dear Comrade.

Interestingly, Ayan Mukerji’s first film in his fantasy adventure trilogy, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, King Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra, will also be released  in August 2019.
