Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Devarakonda is making his Kollywood debut with NOTA. It is a bilingual Tamil-Telugu film and recently the makers released the first look poster in which Vijay was seen showing his middle finger.
For the past few days, Kollywood has been involved in a tussle with the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) and that took a new big turn when the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) last week announced that press meets for all films’ promotions should be brought to an immediate halt until further notice from them. Having said that, the launch of the
Vijay’s NOTA, had taken place last week and this has now led to problems for producer Gnanavel Raja and his production house, Studio Green.
The producers were instructed not to conduct or participate in any such promotional events but Gnanavel Raja launched the Telugu hero Vijay in Tamil with a grand event in Chennai. According to reports, Tamil Film Producers Council was quite disappointed when Gnanavel Raja held the NOTA film launch thereby violating the decision of the producers council and their protest against digital service providers. This brought the rage of TFPC to Gnanavel Raja who has been issued a red card. Sources say that Gnanavel has given an apology letter to the council but the office bearers are yet to decide whether to revoke the ban or not.
