According to the recent report of the American Academy of Pediatrics, over 10 million children have contracted with Covid in the United States. A total of 10,603,034 child Covid cases have been reported across the country as of January 20. The percentage rate of child confirmed cases stands at 18.4%.
Xinhua news agency has reported that child Covid cases have increased across the country during this Omicron spread. In the previous week, 1.1 million Covid-19 cases were identified among the children in the United States, and it is 5 times greater than the number of child Covid cases recorded during the second wave in the winter season.
On the report of American Academy of Pediatrics, there is 17% spike over the 9,81,000 added cases reported the week before and a doubling of case counts from the previous couple of weeks. The academy has also reported that there have been 5.6 million additional child cases since the first week of September this year.
