In all, about seven hundred Coronavirus patients were undergoing treatment in the ICU and oxygen beds in Ruia whereas another three hundred were in normal wards. AP Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered a high level probe into this issue and CM  is likely to visit the hospital.

Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his grief over the matter  and on the other hand, Chittoor District Collector M. Harinarayanan said that they have avoided further tragedy by setting up bulk oxygen tankers on time and added that the doctors on duty could avoid a much worse situation.  Harinarayanan  further said, “There was a drop in oxygen pressure initially. It’s unfortunate that 11 people lost their lives due to the shortage of oxygen.”
