The movie Magadheera completed 11 years as it was released on 31st July 2009. Magadheera was Ram Charan’ second movie and SS Rajamouli’ 7th movie.
Though Kajal Agarwal acted in a couple of films earlier, but this film Magadheera gave her a big break, and both Ram Charan and Kajal received star status after the release. Vijayendra Varma’s story impressed audiences so much, that it created a benchmark in film industry records. The hype around Rajamouli’ directorial venture started before its release and continued well after it broke all box office records.
Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal starrer Magadheera is based on the theme of reincarnation. The movie revolves around four people, a valiant warrior in charge of the princess’ safety, a princess who loves him, a commander-in-chief who lusts after her, and an emperor who wants to conquer their kingdom. Everyone dies before their wishes are fulfilled and are reborn after 400 years.
Mega producer Allu Arvind and BVSN Prasad invested Rs 35 crores on Magadheera and the movie earned Rs 100 crores. Meanwhile Ram Charan is once again working with SS Rajamouli for the upcoming film RRR.
