SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture Magadheera, which released in 2009, has completed a 12 years of its release. The film starred Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role. Ram Charan is grateful. It was Magadheera that gave him a taste of success in the year 2009. The film released this day 12 years ago. It established Ram Charan as a star. The movie was produced by Allu Aravind and BVSN Prasad, marked the maiden collaboration of SS Rajamouli and mega Power Star Ram Charan.
Magadheera was one of the first Telugu films to gross over Rs 100 Cr at the box office, it featured Ram Charan in a career defining performance. SS Rajamouli’s fantasy drama Magadheera was Ram Charan’ second film. It was extremely gutsy of Ram Charan to pick Magadheera so early on in his career but he proved everyone wrong by embracing the Telugu project and going on to win laurels for his fantastic performance.
Rajamouli’ directorial venture Magadheera was proof to Ram Charan’s calibre to play larger than life characters and he couldn’t have done better justice. Magadheera was about two estranged lovers meeting in another life and realizing they share a strong connection. Chiranjeevi played a cameo in this film and he was seen shaking legs with his son in the iconic song Bangaru Kodi Petta.
