This year, 16 Urban Local Bodies of Telangana have acquired Swach Sarvekshan awards, 2022. The award ceremony will take place on October 1st in Delhi. Once again, the state has acquired a big number of the prestigious awards.
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs have taken care of selection of the awards by giving star ratings for the resolution of issues related to sanitation, garbage and free city for the period of July last year to January 2022. They have done it on about 90 segments to distribute the awards.
The awards will be distribute for the winners of various categories like solid waste management, community level composing, public toilets, liquid waste management, awareness levels among people, management of community toilets, citizen engagement, innovation, etc. Municipal administration and urban development minister, KT Rama Rao has congratulated all authorities and employees of Urban Local Bodies.
He said that the awards won over consecutive years is a testament of the state’s decision towards all round development of cities. The nation wide recognition, the Swach Sarvekshan awards, represents that Telangana is certainly an epitome in urban development and administration as well.
