Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV’ directorial venture Lakshmi’s NTR has already created lot of buzz in Telangana. The movie has also completed its run in most of the theaters. The movie Lakshmi’s NTR was supposed to hit the theaters on 1st May in Andhra Pradesh but RGV received huge shock from the Election Commission. The Election Commission directed the filmmaker not to release the film reiterating its 10th April order not to screen it and another movie until further orders. But interestingly the management of Venkateswara, AS, Raja theaters in Andha Pardesh screened Lakshmi’s NTR on 1st May. Now according to the latest update, the revenue department has seized 3 theaters in Andhra Pradesh like Venkateswara theater at Porumamilla, AS theater in Railway Kodur, Raja Theater in Kadapa city on the charges of screening Lakshmi’s NTR in them on Friday.

It is heard that ECI has directed the district collector to seize the theaters and cancelled their licenses immediately.

According to the latest update, the 3 theaters screened Ram Gopal Varma’ Lakshmi’s NTR on 1st May. Though the election authorities did not give permission to screen Lakshmi’s NTR, the management of the 3 theaters ignored the orders and screened the movie in the morning show. When local revenue officials came to know about the screening of Lakshmi’s NTR, they seized the theaters. Officials said these theatres can’t screen any movie.

According to the TDP Leaders, Ram Gopal Varma’ Lakshmi’s NTR depicted current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu in a negative light, which could impact the party’s poll prospects.
