The romantic drama Pelli Choopulu starring the young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma completed 4 years as the movie was released on 29th July 2016. The romantic and comedy drama has completed 4 years of its release today and is being celebrated on social media. The movie is written and directed by Tharun Bhascker and produced by Raj Kandukuri and Yash Rangineni. Pelli Choopulu is based on real life incident of “Spitfire BBQ” food truck, revolves around a boy and a girl who meet during a match-making and how their aspirations bring them together forms the rest of the story of this film.
Having no Godfather in the film industry, Vijay Deverakonda managed to grab everyone’s attention with the rom-com. Ritu Varma took to her Instagram and wrote, And just like that Pelli Choopulu completes 4 years!! My most special film. Ever since the pandemic started, we have learnt to appreciate and value things a lot more. So this is just an appreciation post. Some work experiences stay with you forever and this is one of them. Pelli Choopulu won two National Film Awards for the Best Telugu film, and Best Screenplay – Dialogues, two Filmfare Awards, and the SIIMA Award for the Best Film.
