Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna starrer rural drama Pushpa: The Rise, which was released on 17th December, turned out a blockbuster at the box office. The movie is directed by Sukumar and is backed by Mythri Movie Makers. Before Allu Arjun, many celebrities, had turned down the opportunity to be part of this blockbuster action drama.
A few years ago, it was heard that Sukumar was supposed to do a film with Mahesh Babu but the things did not materialized. Now, reports suggest that Sukumar took the script of Pushpa: The Rise to Mahesh Babu before approaching Stylish Star Allu Arjun. But Mahesh Babu turned down the offer to be part this film and the role fell in the lap of Bunny.
Rashmika Mandanna played the role of Srivalli. The sources say that Sukumar’s first choice for Srivalli was Samantha Ruth Prabhu but she rejected the offer due to unknown reasons. When Allu Arjun convinced her for the special song then, she agreed.
The first choice for the special song Oo Antava song was Disha Patani, not Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
The sources say that during the shoot of Pushpa, the makers were also considering the name of Nora Fatehi’ for oo Antava song. When Disha and Nora refused the offer for multiple reasons, Allu Arjun contacted Samantha.
Fahadh Faasil played the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in Pushpa. However, Vijay Sethupathi was supposed to be the first choice for the role.
