On Monday, 6 new COVID-19 +ive cases were reported and 6 persons too succumbed to the Coronavirus in Telangana state till date. With these deaths the number of persons succumbed to this deadly disease has risen to 6 in the state. , Telangana medical and health department’s statement said that Covid-19, coronavirus has spread among some of those people who attended a religious prayer meeting from 13th-15th March at Markaz in the Nizamuddin area of New Delhi. Some people who attended the prayer were from Telangana. Of them, 6 people have died. 2 in Gandhi Hospital, 1 each in Global and Apollo Hospital and 1 each in Gadwal and Nizamabad.
The statement also said that Special teams supervised by the district collectors have identified the people who came in contact with these persons, and they are shifted to hospitals, they have tested and treated.
The health-official said to the people, “The government is taking all measures to contain the Coronavirus spread and safeguard peoples’ lives.”
Telangana government asked all the people from Telangana who attended the prayer meets at Delhi Markaz mosque, to visit the hospital for the Coronavirus testing.
Earlier a young guy who returned from foreign to city too was treated and discharged. India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had interacted with the young person during Mann Ki Baat on Sunday.
