Ranveer Singh starrer 83 is one of the much awaited movie of Indian film Industry. In the wake of the deadly coronavirus outbreak worldwide, the release of 83 has been put on hold. Ranveer singh shared an official statement on his microblogging page and informed his fans about the delay.
The upcoming film 83 is based on the historic 1983 cricket World Cup victory of India. Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of legendary player Kapil Dev in this biopic. Deepika Padukone is on the board to play the role of Kapil Dev’ wife Romi Dev. 83, the biopic of Kapil Dev was slated to hit the screens on 10th April, 2020 but the release date has been put on hold.
Apart from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the film 83 also has Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles.
Several shoots of the film and TV serials have been cancelled or postponed in the wake of the deadly novel Coronavirus scare.
Kamal Haasan and Nagarjuna Akkineni are going to present the Tamil and Telugu versions of 83 in Tamil Nadu and the Telugu speaking state.
