Vaibhavi died on the spot in the accident. Vaibhavi and her fiancé were in a car when it lost control while making a quick, steep turn. Her boyfriend is being treated in the hospital with serious injuries. Her brother went to Himachal Pradesh soon after hearing the news of Vaibhavi’s death. Her body was shifted to Mumbai. Her last rites will be held today.
Sarabhai Versus Sarabhai serial brought fame to Vaibhav. She also acted in some other serials. Vaibhavi played an important role in the movie Chhappak starring Deepika Padukone. It is known that Deepika acted as an acid attack victim in this movie.
The news of Vaibhavi Upadhyay’ demise was shared by the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai creator and TV producer, JD Majethia. He took to his Twitter and wrote, “Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as Jasmine of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in north. Family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites . RIP vaibhavi.”
Vaibhavi is 32 years old. Fans, close friends and industry circles are expressing their condolence.
