Veteran Tamil actor Srikanth passed away. Srikanth died at the age of 82 in Chennai on Tuesday. Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth, who had worked with the actor Srikanth in a few movies paid tribute to the late actor on Twitter yesterday night, “I am deeply saddened by the death of my dear friend Srikanth. May his soul rest in peace.”
Rajinikanth and Srikanth have worked together in the films Bhairavi and Sadhurangam. Srikanth made his acting debut with the film Vennira Aadai with J Jayalalithaa, which was released in 1965.
In a career spanning over four decades, he acted in number of blockbuster films. He is known for acting in super hit movie Thanga Pathakkam.
Srikanth also played the anti-hero in Bhairavi, Rajinikanth starrer first film as a hero. He has also worked with number of top stars like late Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Rajinikanth carved out a niche for himself with a unique and muffled dialogue delivery. His attitude and slang helped him sustain in the industry. Srikanth had also featured in the television series titled Mangai, opposite KR Vijaya.
