The Hyderabad police conducted a raid and busted a high profile commercial s*x/prostitution racket in a five-star hotel on Saturday and rescued a Bollywood actress from Mumbai. According to city police commissioner’s task force deputy commissioner P Radhakrishna Rao, a room in Radisson Hotel at Banjara Hills was booked by the organizer and he brought a 24 years old Bollywood actress on the contract for a week for Rs 1 lakh remuneration. When the police raided the hotel room, Banothu Prasanth was absconding whereas Janardhan Rao, the actress and the customer were present there. The police have seized Rs 40,000 and three mobile phones from the organiser.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Task Force) P Radhakishan Rao, who raided the hotel room in Banjara Hills, said, Janardhan Rao, who is a native of East Godavari district and resident of Chilkalguda in Secunderabad, was earlier arrested by the Banjara Hills, Punjagutta and Chandanagar police for committing similar offences.
The customer, Amit Mahendra Sharma (39), a resident of Sainikpuri and native of Gurgaon in Haryana, was also caught. Ambula Janardhan Rao’s associate B Prashant, booked the room number 518 in Radisson Blu Plaza at Banjara Hills on Friday.
According to the police report, both Ambula Janardhan Rao and Banothu Prasanth were running the S*x racket from the room by getting Bollywood actresses from Mumbai and other States on a contract basis. They used to pay them Rs 1 lakh for a week. The duo used to collect Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 from each customer.
