The teaser for Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan‘s eagerly anticipated movie Adipurush was released in the month of october, but it didn’t receive the positive reception that was anticipated. The teaser received criticism for its poor visual effects and Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Ravan- Lankesh. Saif Ali Khan’s character was compared to Islamic characters Khilji, Taimoor. Now the reports are coming that the makers of Adipurush have decided to shave off Saif Ali Khan’ beard digitally in Prabhas starrer which is helmed by Om Raut. It is known that the release date of the film has also been postponed from January 12 to June 16.
After watching the teaser of Adipurush, the netrizens had said that the character of Saif Ali Khan looked more like an Islamic invader rather than that of Ravan and compared to historic characters like Alauddin Khilji, Taimoor, and Mughal Emperor Babur.
Apart from Saif Ali Khan look, the looks of other actors and the VFX in the teaser have also left the movie lovers disappointed and are facing backlash on social media.
The mythological film Adipurush is based on Ramayana and is made on a budget of Rs 500 crore . Prabhas will be seen as Raghava, Saif as Lankesh. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon will be seen as Janaki and Sunny Singh as Laxman in Om Raut’ magnum opus.
