It is known news that Samantha Akkineni has started shooting for her upcoming big budget much awaited film, Shaakuntalam. On New Year, Majili lady announced that she has signed a mythology film titled Shaakuntalam with Gunasekhar of Rudhramadevi fame. Now according to the latest update, Aditi Balan has been roped in an upcoming film Shaakuntalam starring Samantha Akkineni.
Aditi Balan is known for acting in Tamil movie Aruvi, and now she is playing a key role in this project Shaakuntalam. And Samantah starrer marks her debut in the Telugu film industry. Apparently, Aditi joined the sets of Gunasekhar’ directorial venture and has started the shoot of her part.
Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is playing the lead hero role in this movie Shaakuntalam and he will make his screen presence in the role of Dushyant.
Shaakuntalam is a big budget project and Samantha Akkineni allocated more than 150 working days for this movie.
On the otherside, Samantha Akkineni is also working on a Tamil film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, under the direction of Vignesh Shivan. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi and lady superstar Nayanthara in the lead roles. Rangasthalam fame actress is also in the talk with Nandini Reddy for a project.
