ADR- Association for Democratic Reforms has revealed the income figures of national parties for the financial year 2021-22. The seven national parties of the country- Congress, BJP, TMC, NCP, CPI, CPM, NPP have a total of Rs. 2,172 crores of income, half of which is coming to BJP alone. ADR said that 66 % of the income received by these parties came from unknown person.
The Political parties in India collected more than Rs 2,172 cr from unknown sources in financial year 2021-22, accounting for 66.04 % of their total income.
ADR stated that Bharitya Janata Party- BJP alone received Rs 1,161 crore of the combined income of Rs 2,172 crore for all the national parties. It explained that 53.45 % of the total income received by the six parties. It said that 66 percent of the income of national parties came from electoral bonds. It is stated that these details have been collected on the basis of the annual audit reports of the parties.
After Bharitya Janata Party, the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal received Rs 528 crores in revenue. It is 24.31 % of the income of other national parties. Also, in 2021-22, through various channels, the national parties will spend Rs 17,249.45 cr as donations.
