The creative and talented film maker Shankar is currently working for his upcoming directorial ventures RC15 and Indian 2. RC15 has mega power Star Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles and it is being bankrolled by Dil Raju whereas Indian 2 has Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Now according to the latest report, after wrapping up the shoot of RC15 and Indian 2, Shankar will start working for his next project Velpaari.
The Industry tracker Ramesh Bala confirmed it by sharing a post on Twitter: After #RC15 and #Indian2 , Dir #Shankar to work on the big screen adaptation of the great Tamil novel #Velpaari.
The novel will be made as one of India’s most expensive films and is likely to go on floors late next year. The pre-production work of this upcoming drama is set to take place after the release of Indian 2. There is a strong buzz in the film industry that Suriya, Yash and Ranveer Singh are likely to play lead roles in this film. Shankar’ current focus is Indian 2 and Ram Charan’s film. Only after these projects Velpaari’s pre-production will start. The estimated budget for this movie is said to be around Rs 1000 crores.
