Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan attended the trailer and audio launch of Ponniyin Selvan Part 1, starring Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala among others. Ponniyin Selvan is a period drama, which is directed by Mani Ratnam and is produced by the filmmaker and Allirajah Subaskaran under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, respectively. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is playing the role of Nandhini attended the event. On the occasion of trailer launch event, Aishwarya wore a black and silver ensemble. Many videos of Aishwarya and Rajinikanth greeting each other is going viral on social media. In one of the videos shared online, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is seen touching Rajinikanth’s feet and hugging him at the event.
When Rajinikanth met Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, she immediately fell on his feet and sought his blessings. Both exchanged a warm hug. The precious moment has now gone viral. Another video also showed Aishwarya exhibiting a childlike excitement over meeting the film maker Mani Ratnam at the event. She ran up to director and was seen giving him a warm hug and having a quick chat before the trailer launched.
