Ajay Devgn & Kamal Haasan, the rumour is back againAjay Devgn might play an important role in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2, which will be helmed by Shankar, say sources. However, earlier the makers have quashed the rumour and clarified that Ajay Devgn is not a part of the sequel.

 It is known news that Kamal Haasan is teaming up with Shankar for Indian 2, which is currently in pre production stage. According to the latest buzz in the film industry,  the maker are planning to rope Ajay Devgn in Indian 2 to play an important role. Ajay Devgn is popular for content oriented roles and he has won numerous accolades, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. If the news is true,  It will be very interesting to see when the two top stars-  Kamal Haasan and Ajay Devgn will share the screen space.

On the other hand, it has also come out that Nayantara will play the female lead in this upcoming film. Indian 2 is a sequel to the actor-director duo’s 1996 blockbuster about an old-aged vigilante. Indian follows the efforts of a 70-year-old freedom fighter to weed out corruption from the country by his own vigilante methods. Kamal Haasan had played the double role- father and son. It remains to be seen, whether creative film maker Shankar picks up the thread of the story in the sequel or has a fresh story in store.

To be made on a lavish budget, ‘Indian 2’ will be produced by Lyca Productions. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar are on the board to pen the dialogues.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is waiting for the release of spy thriller drama Viswaroopam 2 starring Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, and Shekhar Kapoor, which is arriving at the theaters on 10th August 2018.

Ajay Devgn was last seen in crime thriller drama Raid in which Ileana D’Cruz played the female lead. Currently he is busy in his upcoming untitled movie, being directed by Akiv Ali.  Ajay Devgn will also be seen in Total Dhamaal, a sequel to 2011 film Double Dhamaal .
