Akhil Akkineni is currently busy in the shoot of his upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Akhil 4. The industry grapevine is that it is a romantic entertainer and the actor will be seen in a never-seen-before role. Pooja Hegde is on the board to share the screen space with Akhil. This is the first time, Akhil and Pooja Hegde are working together for a movie.
While the shoot of the film has been going on for a while now, an interesting buzz about the film’s storyline is doing rounds. According to the latest buzz, the upcoming film deals with the institution of marriage and how Akhil Akkineni who comes from the US to India in search of a bride with big dreams. The upcoming film is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and jointly produced by Bunny Vas and Allu Aravind under the banner of GA2 Pictures. The upcoming untitled film of Akhil marks his first collaboration with director Bhaskar. Bommarillu Bhaskar is known for directing movies like Bommarillu, Parugu, Orange and Ongole Githa. Akhil Akkineni was last seen in Mr Majnu, which was not lived up the mark. He is pinning a lot of hopes on Bhasker’s directorial venture.
The cinematographer V Manikandan, who made his debut in Tollywood with Pawan Kalyan starrer Agnyaathavaasi, has been chosen for this film. Gopi Sunder is taking care of the music of Akhil Akkineni starrer.
