Akkineni Akhil who was seen as a promising young lad before his debut as a hero is now being referred to as hat-trick flop star. With his cameo in Manam, Akhil has shown a lot of promise but that somehow not been translated into his movies. The audience is expecting something different from Akhil that he is not delivering. Be it his first film Akhil, second film Hello or his third film Mr. Majnu, Akhil has been failing to select the right story that suits him or rather a reason anyone doesn’t understand for those movies to be a flop.

With very firm this time to score a hit, Akhil is going with Bommarillu Bhaskar, who himself is going through a very lean patch. All his recent movies are flops but Akhil is now trusting him based on the story he was narrated. Akhil is very confident in his fourth flick to be a successful one. After this untitled romantic entertainer, Akhil has been in touch with two other directors for his next two films where he thinks to compensate his hat-trick losses with hat-trick hits.

The directors in consideration were Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame and Awe, Kalki movie fame Prashant Varma. But it seems now Akhil has changed his mind. With Parasuram inclining more towards his brother Naga Chaitanya, Akhil is now interested in a Tamil director. PS Mithran who scored a decent hit with Inkokkadu might direct Akhil’s fifth film. Mithran’s idea has impressed Akhil a lot and the actor has suggested the director proceed with the script. Prashant Varma’s film might not happen any time soon with Akhil seems not so impressed with that. In a few days, more clarity will come on Akhil – PS Mithran’s project. However, things will only fall in place if Akhil’s ongoing film will turn into a hit.
