2.0 Villain Akshay Kumar had earlier contributed Rs 25 Cr to PM-CARES fund to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. Now, once again Akshay Kumar has announced another Rs 3 Cr donation to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Khiladi Kumar has donated the money to assist in the production of personal protective equipment, masks and rapid testing kits for healthcare and municipal workers. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed the same by releasing a tweet.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, several Bollywood stars and industrialists are also contributing huge amounts to the BMC and other government bodies in their battle against the coronavirus.
Covid-19 has claimed more than 90,000 lives all over the world. In India, Coronavirus +ive cases have reached the tally of 6,412 with 199 lives lost to the disease.
When Akshay Kumar realized that the city had been struggling to mass produce these essential items needed while treating the Corona patients due to limited resources, he extent financial support to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation- BMC. The money which is donated by Akshay Kumar, will be used to produce the essential protection equipment for health workers.
Recently, Akshay Kumar also shared a video and a pic of himself thanking the police, doctors, nurses, NGOs, volunteers, government officials, vendors and building guards.
