If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, South film director Vikram Kumar who is popular for 24 and Manam is planning to make his second Bollywood film soon. The talented director who received lot of applause for his Hindi debut, the 2009 psychological horror film 13B, is making his comeback in Hindi Film Industry after a long gap of 9 years. Interestingly, his second Bollywood movie will be none other than Akshay Kumar who is making his South debut with Shankar’s Sci-fi drama ‘2.0’ costarring Superstar Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson.
The sources say that recently Vikram Kumar met with Akshay Kumar and narrated the story. Padman star immediate gave his nod and the project is expected to go on the floors in the second half of this year.
On the otherside, Vikram Kumar’s previous offering ‘Hello’ starring Akkineni Akhil and Kalyani Priyadarshan, was dud at the box office and he is pinning lot of hopes on this upcoming project.
Earlier Vikram Kumar had worked with Akshay Kumar as an assistant director to Priyadarshan in the 2000 comedy film Hera Pheri, which was superhit at the box office.
