Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar collaborated with the director Anand L Rai for his upcoming movie Raksha Bandhan. Written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, it is a comedy drama that has Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead, opposite Akshay Kumar.
Today, the lead actor Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share the release date of the film. He wrote, “A film celebrating the most special bond where there genuinely was a lot of bonding. Sharing a few special moments of this very special film, coming to a theatre near you in 1 month. #RakshaBandhan releasing on 11th August in cinemas.”
The film is funded by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. Himesh Reshammiya provided music for the film. The film has a symbolic release on August 11, as the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan falls on the same day, this year. Beside Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Ram Sethu, which is expected to be released in this year or in 2023.
