
The KTM 990 Duke uses a new 947 cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces 121 bhp of power and 103 Nm of peak torque.
KTM has unveiled 2024 990 Duke at EICMA 2023. The motorcycle will hit the global market in the coming months. The bike is manufactured at KTM’s main plant in Matthofen, Austria.
The KTM 990 Duke will compete with other motorcycles in the same segment. As of now, KTM has no plans to launch the KTM 990 Duke in the Indian market.
The engine fitted to the 990 Duke is designed to meet Euro 5+ norms. It is a liquid-cooled, 947 cc, parallel-twin engine. It churns out a maximum power of 121 bhp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 103 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox. Also, the rider can also opt for a quick shifter.
The KTM 990 Duke is designed around a completely new steel tube frame.
Moreover, the swing arm is also new. The triple clamp is made of forged aluminum. The 990 Duke comes with 17 inch wheels. These are taken from the 1290 Super Duke R, the bike is fitted with Bridgestone S22 tires as standard.
This bike is equipped with 43 mm WP Apex open cartridge 140 mm forks suspensions. At the rear is a WP Apex monoshock.
The bike gets 300mm disc brakes at the front and a single-piston caliper with a single 240mm disc at the rear.
