Telugu junior artist Jyothi Reddy, who previously appeared in one of the songs of Icon star Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer Pushpa as a dancer, died in a train accident. She was 26. Jyothi Reddy passed away after she fell off a train near Shadnagar railway station early morning on Tuesday.
The police revealed that on Monday night Jyothi Reddy boarded the train at Kadapa railway station , and traveled to Hyderabad. Recently the Jr artist went to her hometown Chitvel, Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh) for the Sankranti festival. The train reached Shadnagar railway station at 5.30 am on Tuesday. Jyothi Reddy, who was asleep, thought that she reached Kachiguda station (Telangana) and got off the train mistakenly. As soon as she tried to board the train again, she fell down between the platform and the railway track as the train was already moving, she sustained a severe head injury in the accident.
The Railway officials rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she was declared dead.
The family of Jyothi Reddy has demanded CCTV footage of the accident, however, police have stated that there were no cameras at the Shadnagar railway station.
On the work front, Jyothi Reddy has starred in a few Telugu movies as a junior artist.
