At least 20 people were killed, including the two pilots, and more than 100 injured when the Air India Express passenger flight repatriating Indians stranded by the covid-19 pandemic from Dubai overshot the runway in heavy rain. This incident took place at Kozhikode airport during landing. According to the report, Boeing-737 flight from Dubai to Calicut International Airport was carrying 190 passengers and crew, including 10 infants. Moreover, around 123 passengers are injured while 15 others are severely injured.
Two special relief flights have been arranged from Delhi and one from Mumbai for rendering humanitarian assistance to all the passengers and the family members. The celebs from the film industry have mourned the loss of those who passed away due to this incident. Stylish Star Allu Arjun took to his Twitter to express shock over the Air India plane crash in Kozhikode.
Naa Peru Surya star Allu Arjun wrote, “Very tragic plane accident in Kerala. Absolutely shocked to see something like this in Kozhikode. Condolences to the near and dear of the demised.”
