Amala Akkineni, who has already shared the screen space with her hubby Akkineni Nagarjuna, in Sekhar Kammula‘s “Life Is Beautiful” and Akkineni family drama “Manam“, is once again on the board to play crucial role in upcoming movie Manmadhudu 2. Earlier it was heard that Amala Akkineni will be seen in lengthy role and will make her screen presence in full-length role in Nagarjuna starrer upcoming movie Manmadhudu 2 but the makers have refuted the rumour and revealed that she will be appearing in a guest role that lasts for a couple of minutes.
Amala Akkineni started her filmy career with Mythili Ennai Kaathali in 1986 and she tied the knot with Nagarjuna in 1992. In 2012, Sekhar Kammula brought Amala Akkineni for his movie Life Is Beautiful in which Nagarajuna played the lead role. Later she played cameo in Vikram Kumar’s directorial venture Manam. Now once again, Amala is getting ready to share the screen space with Nagarjuna in Manmadhudu 2.
Manmadhudu, a 2002 rom-com, had Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead role and it was produced by his home banner Annapurna Studios. The film was a big hit in his career. Manmadhudu was helmed by Vijaya Bhaskar with its story, screenplay and dialogues penned by the ace director Trivikram Srinivas.
Manmadhudu 2 will be directed by Rahul Ravindran and bankrolled by Annapurna Studios, the movie will be shot in Portugal from March.
Meanwhile, there is a buzz that Akkineni Nagarjuna may be starring in the sequel to his yet another hit flick Bangarraju. He was last seen in Sriram Adittya’s directorial venture Devadas in which he essayed the role of gangster and shared the screen space with Nani but the movie was ended up as disaster.
Apart from Manmadhudu 2, Akkineni Nagarjuna is also the part of Bollywood movie Brahmastra.
