Amala Paul has been approached to play the female lead in a Tamil movie, the remake of Telugu hit movie Jersey. The actress is popular for experimental movies and controversial choice of roles. It is known the news that in its original Telugu version, Natural Star Nani and U-Turn fame Shraddha Srinath played the lead role.
Amala Paul will be seen essaying the role of Shraddha Srinath whereas Vishnu Vishal is reprising the role of Nani in Tamil remake of Jersey.
The Tamil remake of Jersey starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul will be helmed by Nelson Venkatesan. The film will go on floors in Chennai, and currently, the makers are busy in the finalization of rest of the cast and crew. Rana Daggubati is going to bankroll the Tamil remake of Jersey.
Earlier both Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul have worked together for acclaimed hit Ratchasan and now once again they are teaming up.
Jersey is all about the story of a 36-year-old cricketer who wants to prove himself in the latter stages of his career.
