For many days, Telugu producers like Suresh Babu, Dil Raju are against the influence of digital streaming sites like Amazon Prime, Netflix etc., They are worried about the audience cut short for coming into theaters. After their entry into the market, the audience coming to theaters to watch the movie has drastically reduced. As producers looking at huge sum being offered from Prime and Netflix, they are allowing the streaming sites to stream movies within 30 days or at max 50 days. With the movie being streamed very early, the audience is losing interest to watch movies in theaters. There needs a lot of strain to reach the theater and watch the movie. Popcorn rates too are exorbitant middle-class families are staying away from theaters and are watching movies when it comes to digital streaming sites.

While Suresh Babu and other top producers are worried about this trend, here comes another shocker from Prime. Recent Tollywood big flicks Saaho and Syeraa released in Prime but the response to the flicks is lukewarm. Prime has got all the other language rights of both the flick except for Hindi. But in Telugu as well as other languages there is not much of a response. These two are currently failure ventures for Prime. With Prime acquiring both the movies for higher rates, they are now thinking to remodel their business. They have decided to cut down the prices they are offering and are even thinking of pay per view model. This is certainly a big loss for Telugu producers who are bagging huge sums from digital rights.

With this business model came into reality, then producers are in real trouble. Already audiences are less for any movie. With cut down in business model, again they will think to cut down their budgets for movies. Well we have to wait and see what will happen in near future.
