Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the people of Bengal that ‘only we have the power to stop the corruption rooted in West Bengal. On Saturday, the Union Minister participated in a rally organized by the BJP in Birbhum district of West Bengal. On this occasion, Amit Shah reminded that BJP candidates won in 18 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections. He said that this has prevented the illegal transportation of cows in the state. Amit Shah added: Give us more than 35 Lok Sabha seats from West Bengal, and I can assure you that the corrupt TMC government won’t survive beyond 2025 . He added that only BJP can check the corrupt rule of Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee in West Bengal.
He concluded that BJP is the only alternative to TMC. Amit Shah suggested to the people that voting for the BJP is the way to stop those who enter the state illegally from abroad and to put a stop to the corrupt regime.
Trinamool Congress leaders are angry over Amit Shah’s comments in Birbhum. They criticized that Amit Shah comes to the state only when there are elections.
Bengal Minister Shashi Panja complained that Amit Shah talking about corruption while sitting next to Suvendu Adhikari who was caught on camera taking money is ridiculous. He reminded that the Union Minister did not even give an appointment to the MPs of Bengal who went to meet for development work in the state. They said that Amit Shah is not talking about the release of employment funds for Bengal.
