A video from interview of famous lyricist Anantha Sriram, is trending on social media from two days. Anantha Sriram appeared on famous comedian Ali’s talk show Ali Tho Saradaga recently. He said that he has stopped writing the lyrics for the songs composed by a music director because the composer failed to look at his faith and job separately. Anantha Sriram said, “A prominent music director refused to use my lyrics as the song I wrote possessed names of Hindu gods.”
He said, “ I had penned the lyrics of a song for a composer which the latter liked very much. But the same composer had refused to compose a song written by me because i mentioned a Hindu God’s name in the lyrics.” When Anantha Sriram was asked to reveal the name of music composer, he refused it and said that he didn’t want to adversely affect the composer’s career and public image.
Now, the many names are going around the Telugu film Industry, who could that music composer be and few are believing that he could be someone from Tamil Industry.
Anantha Sriram has written lyrics for 990 Telugu film songs in his career in the film industry. He has penned the songs for Chiranjeevi starrer Andarivadu and Stalin. Anantha Sriram has worked with top music directors including A.R. Rehman, Keeravani and Illayaraja.
