Total number of Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh State rose to 1980 after 50 new Coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours, out of which 925 have recovered and have been discharged, whereas 45 have died.
Kurnool, Guntur and Krishna districts continued to be the major hotbeds in the Andhra Pradesh state. Kurnool reported 13 out of the 50 fresh Coronavirus cases in the state. According to the latest update, 8,666 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The total number of discharged people increased to 925 with 38 more people getting recovered and discharged.
Nellore is a district, which crossed 100 mark with 5 fresh Covid-19 cases reported taking the total number of cases in the district to 101.
Guntur added 6 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 382. Chittoor district in the red zone in Andhra Pradesh, reported 16 cases. 5 other districts of the Andhra Pradesh state did not report any new case.
2 more Coronavirus cases reported in Prakasam district taking the total count in the district to 63. One case each was reported in Vizag, Kadapa, and Krishna district, taking the total number of Coronavirus cases in those districts to 63, 97, and 339 respectively. Among the 38 discharged, Kurnool district alone accounted for 21, Krishna – 3, Guntur -8, East Godavari – 2, Anantapur – 1, Visakhapatnam – 2, Nellore – 1.
